THE BIRTH

The peaceful atmosphere of our modern Birth Unit will help you to feel comfortable. As part of your individual preparations, you have already got to know our midwife team. You can relax while our midwives respond to your every need. While you place yourself in their experienced hands, you can devote your full attention to the forthcoming birth.

A midwife constantly monitors the birth procedure, providing advice and active assistance. Your doctor is responsible for the overall supervision of the birth and, in cooperation with the midwife, will take care of you during the childbirth process. Naturally, your partner is more than welcome to be present throughout the birth!

Medical infrastructure
To ensure the provision of optimal medical services, the entire infrastructure of the Clinic in the Park is available to you at all times. This has proved to be of particularly value in the case of a planned or unplanned Caesarean section, which will be performed by your doctor in consultation with an experienced anaesthetist. The excellent medical technology infrastructure of our clinic guarantees the highest possible level of safety for both mother and child.

Ensuring the safety of your baby
Following the birth, the attending paediatrician will examine your baby and determine any further care that may be required. We place emphasis on the provision of comprehensive care.

Should your baby require special medical attention or monitoring, he or she will in the best of hands in the form of our accredited paediatricians. In emergency cases, the Clinic in the Park works in close cooperation with the Children’s Hospital of the University of Zurich.
