YOUR STAY AT THE CLINIC
In the comfortable atmosphere of the clinic, we afford you and your partner time to get to know your newborn child. You will be supported by our experienced nursing staff, who will introduce you to the principles of caring for your baby.
Physical closeness is important
Our comprehensive rooming-in concept is designed to facilitate the important initial contact between parents and their newborn child in the period immediately following the birth. Physical closeness promotes a mutual process of getting to know one another and has a positive influence on regular sleeping, waking and breastfeeding rhythms.
The St. Anna Clinic also offers Family Rooms, so that your partner and elder children can enjoy your newborn child in his or her very first days of life. If you would like to have a rest at any time, our nursing staff will be glad to take watchful care of your newborn baby.
Breastfeeding
Based on the knowledge that breast milk contains everything that a child needs, we support mothers in the process of breastfeeding. Following the birth, our experienced breastfeeding consultants are at your side. They can also provide information on alternatives if breastfeeding is not a possibility for you.
A comfortable stay
Our hotel service ensures your physical wellbeing around the clock, offering beverages and meals of your choice at any time to both you and your guests – either in your room or at our Santé restaurant on the ground floor. As a special extra service, you are invited to enjoy a dinner (or lunch) for two with your partner in our Santé à-la-carte restaurant.
Our indulgence programme
In order that you feel fit again as soon as possible, you are invited to participate in our postnatal gymnastics course, which is offered daily in the Physiotherapy Ward. The course is designed to facilitate the re-strengthening of the womb, lower pelvis and abdomen. In addition, you are welcome to make use of our internal hairdressing salon. Or perhaps you would like to treat your body to a soothing massage?
Return to daily routine
First-time mothers, in particular, are often confronted with a number of questions and uncertainties when they first return home. At the St. Anna Clinic, our personnel remain at your service following your discharge with helpful tips and advice.
