If you are considering having a child, then it would be to your advantage to take out semi-private insurance cover with your or another insurer. This ensures that you have the option of bringing your child to the world in a Hirslanden clinic – without additional costs. At some health insurers, an upgrade from general insurance cover to semi-private pr private cover has to be made at least two years before the birth.

If you do not have supplementary insurance cover, most Hirslanden clinics offer a range of upgrade options that enable you to benefit from the advantages of (semi-)private accommodation for the payment of an affordable, flat-rate fee.
