Neither men nor women are born parents. Once the baby has arrived it is naturally more difficult for the men to slip into the role of an active father. Expecting mothers prepare themselves intensively for their new role as a mother for 9 months with special guides, books, films and the Internet. Until now there has not been a suitable source of information tailored specifically for fathers-to-be. But there is a great need for tips and guidance.

So Hirslandenbaby has created the first digital learning aid in Switzerland on baby care - specially for fathers-to-be. It will give future fathers a feeling of security and self-confidence when caring for their newborn babies. But this digital Expert Tool (available in German and French) also has another aim: it wants to help fathers enjoy their time with their child - with fun, togetherness and ease. Because one thing's for sure: changing nappies, bathing, feeding, dressing, putting to bed or consoling - fathers do all that just as mothers do. But differently.

The CD for PC and Mac makes learning fun thanks to interactive videos, animations, simulations and a virtual coach. Additional, more detailed written information guarantees a steep learning curve in a short time. The Expert Tool consists of nine individual chapters:

3. How do I make baby's bottle?
4. What can I do for wind?
5. How do I dress my baby properly?
6. What's important for transportation?
7. How do I bath my baby properly?
8. What's the best way to get baby off to sleep?
9. When does my baby need a doctor?
